That's pretty great! The last picture there is confirmation that the universe is at least 13 billion years old.
I've been reading a bunch about physics in general and how some of the later theories are all about multiverses, or the universe is a projection from a 2d surface, a simulation and/or a computable machine. All theory though.
The discovery by Edwin Hubble that the universe is expanding seemed to be a real shake up of ideas at the time.

Ha, so that is where Terry Pratchet got his disc world idea from!
It may as well be turtles as a lot of the theories may not even be provable. The many worlds scenario for one seems a bit silly to me. Fascinating stuff though.
