Title: UK2 Hacked?
Post by: BoL on December 20, 2010, 09:44:59 PM
https://support.uk2.net/

Click  on "lost password"

Doesn't look good does it?

I'd just bought some space off them to host a couple of sites.

Quote/home/support/public_html/sploitz.zip

Obviously I can't read what the hell that text field was for, but "sploitz.zip" is probably not part of any standard webserver config, eh?

Wonder who they were hosting (or refusing to host) that got a target drawn on their butts?

I went for a refund as they have a money back guarantee lasting a month, and pointed it out to them (I guess they would have known anyway)

The response is that 'that page is the help page, and is not hacked'.

...my mistake, mustve been a mild delusion.

BWAHAHA ... that's what the help page is *supposed* to look like? That'd be reason enough to get a refund IMNSHO.  ::)

yep! I only need the space for a few scripts and 2 small sites, there are plenty other hosts.

He didn't disagree the 2nd time when I mentioned I'd taken a screenshot.

Wasn't keen on them anyway, I'd have about 4 layers of passwords from them hence using the 'lost password' link.
