They show some stats from other companies in the "Fast 50". I see one has "Home" as their home page <title> ... maybe one or two could do with some consulting.

Agreed and they've done it extremely well. From the small roots where Alex started the Majestic12 goal of trying to create a distributed crawler with open source data to where they are now. Huge hat tip to them all.
I'm biased as I'm Ambassdor for them, but I really love their tool and Dixon and team are good folks.
Jason, I bet you remember Alex cropping up on the UK netmarketing email list humbly mentioning the little tool he'd built that pulled a little SEO data together by analysing links on the web through distributed crawling. I remember signing up to my Majestic12 free account and being amazed by the potential. As much as 10 years ago possibly?
I remind Dixon of this every time I see him.
Credit to Dixon for not just being amazed by the potential but getting involved in the business, and using his profile on the conference circuit to help take Majestic to the next level and beyond in terms of awareness within the SEO industry. But ultimate credit to Alex, the man behind the technology.
I didn't know the backstory. I just remember the first Pubcon after Dixon got involved and he was cornering everyone (including me) to give them demos. Until that moment I had never used it.

I'd actually stumbled across Majestic12 a little earlier and was blown away by the tech. I phoned Alex and we met up in Broadgate for lunch and a chinwag. Nothing came of it in the end, I was a touch too early, but damn they've built a great product, an amazing team, and quite literally... own the space now!

Yahoo was the one that did it for me. I was aware of commercial tools for the job before then, but when they pulled the plug was when I decided to part with money.
Wish I could have majestic data on the ahrefs front end though. There are jobs I can do in 10 seconds on ahrefs that take 10 minutes on majestic.
Afaik there are many things Majestic people would love to do, there is no shortage of ideas and suggestions, but apparently development is their bottleneck currently.
