Just downloaded TOR to a zip drive.
I was bored...
Any ideas what can do with it ??
A. Everything you normally do, but with greater privacy.
B. Access .onion sites/resources
'B' is probably the more interesting option. Browsing around is tough though due to the combination of stuff coming and going quickly and the lack of an effective search. It's reminiscent of the early days of the clear web - just with more wankers.

Best piece of advice I can give is to be aware that most major .onion sites have been cloned several times as phishing sites. Because the .onion addresses are hard to remember this is surprisingly effective. http://www.reddit.com/r/onions/ (clear web) is a good starting point. Their sidebar has up to date links that should be good to trust.

I guess it's a sign of the times, but that was my first thought, too. With this cookie and script blocking setup I'm running, I'm probably already on the watchlist. Having once been on the no-fly list, all I need to do to cinch a knock in the night is to install Tor.

If you want to use Tor safely then use Whonix, Tails or Qubes OS. That obfuscates your actual IP to a somewhat safe level.
Use Tor to check out the competition. Also good to see sites from a different country if you're doing international stuff.
