All this predicated on FTC having enough spine to actually do something and the FTC winning in some way.
My opinion: the most drastic remedy is the best, break G up and insure that the monopoly on search is broken to. Of course we can say this all day, but you are unlikely to break the search monopoly unless the public actually has some alternative search engines ready. Its hard for Germany, France and the UK to complain when they don't offer a search engine(s) to switch to.
