On a recent vacation I was shocked by the percentage of people out there who were extremely obese, not just 50lbs. over weight, but 100+. It seems like a pandemic problem that isn't getting enough attention.

I went to the Clay County Fair (a pretty backwoods county just south of Jacksonville) and noticed the same thing. First thing inside the gate was a place to rent scooters so you didn't even have to walk to get your corn dogs, funnel cake, and cotton candy. Or fairy floss as the Vikings call it.

Noticed the same years ago driving the Carolinas and Floride for a few weeks. Especially in Disney World the problem was HUGE and a large % of people rode scooters in stead of walking. The whole "catering for the scooter people" was scary.
