Title: Won an award!
Post by: gm66 on April 25, 2015, 03:38:20 PM
I won a bronze Scoot national business leader award, for sitting at my PC for a year !!

I won bronze and they sent me some plastic :

And they wanted me to pay around £500 to attend the ceremony ?

I'm not sure whether it really was an award or a clever way of mugging people with no violence ?

I'm not sure where the line is between legitimate award and scheme to make money.

Their tweets and likes are about on par with my daughter's fourth grade science project.

Our vacation rental wins various awards - some from Trip Advisor and VRBO, which is nice and we put those right up on our rental page when we're not to lazy.

Some come from places that require you to purchase some service to receive the full "value" of the award. Those get marked as spam.

It's the later, but if you can get it to bring just a couple of quality links pay the money.
