Have your eye on a cheap (or even expensive) Chromebook but not sure about being wedded to Google's Chrome OS? Like the simplicity of Chrome OS and have an old Windows laptop sitting around?
Well along comes Chromixium which is based on Ubuntu but has a Chrome OS interface. It appears to let you dump Chrome on a Chromebook and replace it with this Chromixium flavor of Ubuntu for free. Plus it will run full programs like Libreoffice, etc.

Looks like a nice option, I'd like to know how it performs. I personally would love a chromebook with Debain on it and using a light weight window manager like fluxbox.
