Title: offloading domains
Post by: Rooftop on May 20, 2015, 03:47:50 PM
I talking to someone who has around 2000 domains that they probably want to shift. Registered between 1999 and 2013.  Lots of keyword domains with dashes or whole phrases with no dash.   Almost off of them are .com .

Anyone have suggestions of a route for a quick sale?

Sedo always seems slow.

I have a contact there but he normally only gets involved when the domains are of substantial value. Are the domains active with sites on? If not then it really is just Sedo or potentially Flippa etc?

If they have sites on, and have been active for some time, the choices are wider and the SEO crowd may be interested.

Ebay is always good for a quick sale although the time it takes to list them takes a while. Ebay.com is more active in this area than UK but UK has less competition.

Probably more labor intensive, but can still be automated - spam people w/ related domains and see if they are interested.

You could also contact a broker and see if they would want to sell the portfolio.

Lastly flippa has been selling or listing many domains... might have some good action on the better ones there.
