With the US normalizing relations with Cuba new opportunities arise.
The low hanging fruit is cigars. As someone who smokes an occasional stogie there is a huge buildup of anticipation about being able to buy Cuban cigars legally in the US. Expect a bidding war, because most of Cubas cigar production is barely enough to keep Europe supplied plus the newly rich in China (I guess) so adding the US will cause demand to skyrocket.
But First: Lawyers. A lot of the Cuban brands where taken into exile by Cuban refugees now producing cigars under those brand names in Dominican Republic. Cuba still uses those brand names too so there will be lawyers coming out of the woodwork filing trademark lawsuits.

Frankly, after a year or two I think cigar demand will level out. I hear Cuban cigars are not up to the hype and frankly the cigars produced in Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Honduras mostly from Cuban seed are superb and priced right.
I do predict that medical tourism to Cuba will be big for a few years for what would be expensive surgery if it was performed in the US.
Regular tourism: again, I hear that even the top hotel resorts in Cuba now, are not up to standards expected by US tourists. So it could be several years before they get that figured out.
Any other expected opportunities or consequences once trade between US and Cuba normalizes?
