PubCon was a lot of fun.  On a side note, when did WMW get so doggedly slow?

Those were the GOLDEN YEARS of SEO & SPAM

Just think of the friendships that were developed and continue to the day.

Interesting you should say that. It used to be so fast that I used it to test my connection when things seem messed up. Now I use the fastest site I currently know - th3core.com

BTW, it used to be Google, but it became so slow I don't use it now.

Didn't make my first Pubcon until 2003. Thought I was going to go this year, but couldn't make it. Feels a lot different than in 2003. Very corporate. I think it has more to do with the evolution of the internet than with the "management" of Pubcon - there are a lot of marketing types with little to no technical knowledge... because everyone is a social media guru now.

Even sadder is the recent Admin & Mod dinner in Vegas.
This group should be Candidates for the GONG Show  ;)

Good people one and all. I would have enjoyed being at that dinner.

I am staying stum.

Would really really love to.  But a family trip to south America is going to blow the budget, and time I suspect.
