Looks like T-Mobile (which usually seems to have the more subscriber service for the money) has left the Sprint backbone. Good, Verizon needs some competition.

81% of what? T-Mobile has the worst coverage map. Unless it has just recently changed, in our area, you have to drive two hours west to get T-Mobile coverage and at least 3, but probably 4+ hours to the east.
When friends with T-Mobile want to come meet up with us, it's like back in the dark ages of the 1900s. We have to make plans.
Other anecdotal reports also say T-Mobile still sucks.
T-Mobile seems to be concentrating on high population urban areas. However, where they have service, it seems to have improved greatly. Around here, if you are rural and not near an Interstate Hwy go Verizon or maybe ATT, T-Mobile around metropolitan areas, Sprint seems hopeless.
