Title: Hanoi business agenda
Post by: rcjordan on February 18, 2016, 04:31:55 PM
Find/vet programmers & content elves -particular interest is in flatfile cms suitable for clients.  Mostly, vet.  It also occurs to me that we'll have a perl genius in our midst this time.  I've had him do some flatfile stuff in the past that still rocks.  You just have to find your cgi-bin again.

Scrapebox - Need hands on or at least a gut-level outline of features

Post 'em as you think of them.

I'd like to explore bag/luggage and clothing manufacturers.
Also IT consultants for PHP/MySQL, HTML and CSS work.

Travoli & I will have a roundtable on embedding ads as part of the page code rather than the usual ad-serving.

Also, front end responsive guy for psd->html/wp.

And a dev to customize stuff in a drastic manner.

This is starting to look like my xmas list.

NFFC & I will have a roundtable on "It's not just about wages, stupid! Consider using VN partners to shield your UK/US small business."

I have a few examples of products I see coming directly out of China but being sold via Amazon. Mostly of interest to companies developing physical products, but one potentially start-up killing issue does apply to content developers. (This is not about tax-minimizing strategies.)

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it (I seriously wish I could) but....

If anyone finds a software house / independant PHP or C developer, that is of a high standard, I'd be eternally grateful for recommendations.

Of course I appreciate it'll be the left overs after you've found guys n gals for your own needs, and that's fine :)

thanks all.

Ah the holy grail, the unicorn of IM. If I find him, you ain't getting him. lol

I could put together a session on agency building and management, either to brainstorm new ideas and strategies or at least make a practice run through for a potential product I'm looking at assembling. Any interest?

Sure, I'd like the run-through. For once, we have time at a conference for brainstorming.

Re flatfile cms dev:

Code from phone.  Something/anything along these lines http://th3core.com/talk/hardware-technology/app-of-interest-(android)-droidedit/

Multiplatform would be great, but I don't hold out much hope for that.

Explore Asian medical tourism like Singaore. IMO, this market is ripe for "product" site development.

We will be doing a walk-thru of what it's like readying & co-coordinating a site with other media advertising campaigns --mostly the pre-launch stuff for TV ads.

Ah nice, I struggle in this dept. Have you found a nice medium between fitting into their box and actually delivering what they need?

TV ad has been cleared for launch. We will definitely get a site-owner's gut-level perspective on time, costs, etc.

RC will be demo-ing the admin side of his rss pipeline builder with an eye toward using feeds from affiliate vendors. Gimp will give a review of what it takes to install it.
