I'm with ergophobe & Mrs. ergophobe
YOSEMITE is great and we would be well taken care of.

NOTE: I'm not up for paying Ahwahnee Hotel rates :o
Wait, what? Are you coming to visit?
Never been to SF, would love a couple days or so there too.
When?
There are many alternative to the Ahwahnee... excuse me, Majestic Yosemite Hotel.
I will say we don't have a big enough house for a crew, but our neighborhood is nothing but rental houses for the most part.
With some advance we could nail down a really nice 3-bedroom home for less than the cost of the Ahwahnee. Basically looking at $130-$240 per bedroom per night for 2-3 bedroom houses in peak season.
Camping too, of course, but it can be extremely hard to get a campsite.
And if you make it happen, we'll put together some good stuff to do.
>coming to visit?
Hhh, welcome to thecore. Did EG forget to tell you about the hosting requirements?
Hey, we'll make floor space and such for anyone on a budget... but if the group gets very big it's going to get crowded quick especially since simplytheresa full on turned the guest room into her office.
I don't think anyone from The Core has ambled by, but a few connections from Webmasterworld have made the pilgrimage. We'll show you a good time.
NFFC:
Could show you some places to EAT in San Fran.
Take the ferry to Sausalito, California for lunch.
There is just one rule when visiting SF:
If you drop your wallet, you must kick it across the Bay Bridge BEFORE you pick it up.
Yesterday in Yosemite

Two caveats
1. A lot of my flower pics are to aid in ID, so yes, the blossoms are out of focus, but the stems are not or whatever
2. A lot of the videos were taken while I was up in a tree for a better view and was hanging on with one hand and fumbling with my camera with the other... these are most decidedly unedited.
Spring and fall are great times. Summer has its pleasures for sure, but also has its traffic jams and crowds.
Were some of those atop Yosemite Falls?
GOD, I do love Yosemite.
;D
Atop Bridalveil Fall actually
There's no trail. You scramble up the Gunsight and then thrutch and fight through manzanita bushes and then you get the reward.

hosting requirements?
Hosting requirements would be awfully cool.
I do hope we'll get some visitors out of this...
