I use DDgo & love it even when it's "a little slow"  ;)

I didn't know Disconnect was a thing, but it sounds like it relied on the Google search API to work.  It just makes sense that they would switch to DDG for search as privacy is their a big part of their platform.

Makes sense for TOR to switch to DDG because of privacy and DDG is not over burdened with ads.
