Yeah I just bought one of these and been on this service since Friday evening, mentioned in the hanoi phones thread. Jury is still out, a couple of hiccups, not sure if related to the service or just random systemwide glitches. A text I sent did not make it, via wifi at home. This morning made a call via lte service and it said the number called was disconnected. Retried (contact entry - number in phone) and went through fine. Had this not been a known number I would have figured dead.
The Nexus 5X for 200 bucks is a no-brainer though.
We were with US Cellular for 20+ years. Coverage in rural-ish areas was excellent. Urban areas, not so good. Combined with the others, this should work out pretty well.
US Cellular is a Chicago based company (which sold off its Chicago bandwidth, go figure) back before Smartphones they had a great reputation for reliable voice connections in this area that few other telco's could match. They were favored by doctors because of this. Great customer service. US Cellular started lagging behind on 3G and 4G coverage, but they seem to have caught up again.
I stand be Verizon
Verizon is the best here, the only real option if you want the best coverage. Combining the other two through Fi seems a viable option, especially combined with wifi. This third though, I've not heard of their service here. I see we are in the coverage map, need to find out if they have their own towers here.
The main reason I bought this was to test Fi, and you can cancel and keep the phone at the discounted price (normally 350). Plus, wifi calls to US from VN (or elsewhere) are free. SMS worldwide free. Calls from US to VN 7 cents/minute. Hoping I get to test all this out later this year.

And rural NC real estate agents.
But we switched to Verizon when we started snowbirding in FL/Gulf area as we had to have good connections for our businesses. Also, NFL. OK, NFL was the main reason and business was secondary. I got tired of hearing LJ whine about games.
