Logged in to G keyword planner research keywords for a new client, lo and behold i get this message :
"This page shows ranges for search volumes. For a more detailed view, set up and run a campaign."
Set up and RUN a campaign.
So now we have to pay to see search volumes ?
Greedy fucking corporate twats.
Please tell me i've got this wrong ?
It's old news app[arently :
http://www.thesempost.com/google-adwords-begins-restricting-keyword-planner-data-non-advertisers/
Can we still get the data via API ?
Grrrrr.
You "just" need a paid active account and the data is all yours...
https://keywordkeg.com
remarkably good, free to use and large volumes returned quickly seemingly with exact matches rather than the recently broadened matching that the keyword tool returns now by default
>old news
I was grabbing exact counts from Adwords as recently as this week. Seems like it applies to everyone now, at least people who havent added a CC.
Yep, I mentioned this a week or two ago in another thread here.
You need a paid account, and be in that account and then go to tools.
Even after that, you're looking at broad match type numbers. You need to add to plan, make a massively high bid estimate and then forecast to see real numbers for em.

I'm impressed with that Adam, thanks for the heads up, only $8 per month at the moment for the starter.

I looked back at your posts up until August 1st and can't find the thread you started, can you tell me what hoops i have to jump through to get exact volumes ?
I have an active campaign and my CC entered but still get ranges.
Cheers!
No worries, sorted.
Cretins >:( Thanks for the suggestions on alternatives.
