Never could get into the 2chan, 4chan, 8chan culture. They have an interesting thread from time to time. I usually just wait for it to get mentioned somewhere else.
I never see them even mentioned in my reading except to be ridiculed, and I read in some pretty rough places. These types of sites -reddit, voat, 4chan- offer a toxic culture for big-dog advertisers and a *huge* $cost for servers & bandwidth.
Reddit will surface some decent stuff from time to time. In most topics it's useless to participate, but there are a few specialized ones I have had decent experience in. I generally avoid the comments in the bigger subreddits and just look at the links.
bookmark this and run my userscripts & extensions. It's running about 15 minutes ahead of gnews on most stories.

Nice. That page has its own RSS feed too. I just added it to Feedly. I'll compare it to my other News feeds.
