Agree. I now travel with a full compliment of phone apps selected and loaded on my phone based on the context of my itineraries. Some of the apps, particularly those with location-awareness, are almost indispensable already. Location-based tech combined with AI will blow the walls out as personal travel guides.
"I see that you're currently headed down US 17. You've told me that you like Civil War History and that you'd drive an hour off-route to visit sites you've not visited prior. There's an obscure Civil War battlefield, "The Battle Of South Mills" 20 miles off-route. Your travel history indicates that you've not been there. Would you like more information? Or would you like me to set the gps for the battlefield as a waypoint?"

Previously, Google's auto-generated ads were pretty terrible and, at least in our experience, automated campaigns underperformed. Similarly, the auto-generated travel guide pages were horrible. But that is probably changing fast.
Theresa spent 4 hours yesterday watching a conference on AI-assisted writing sponsored by Writer.com. More and more people will be using AI as an augment. Some people were talking about their new writing process - input a topic and ask for an outline. Then they edit the outline and then use each point in the outline as a prompt. Then edit that.

Are you a sci-fi reader and have you read Peter Hamilton's Pandora's Star and Judas Unchained? These came out in 2004 and 2005 and much of the way people interact with the "house arrays" and such seems obvious now, but it was the first time I came across a vision of the future with AI assistants embedded in the warp and weft of life.
It's been a long time since I've read them, but they provided me a lot fodder for thinking about it.
