I feel like Amazon doesn't even need their affiliate program, except maybe for their own products and services. Which is prob why Echo commissions are high.

and having commissions on the other stuff just keeps the affiliates around.

They were paying higher commissions than Target or Wal-Mart. I am surprised they didn't make this change sooner.
