Title: Link operator dead?
Post by: Rupert on March 15, 2017, 10:47:29 AM
I missed this, until Eric Ward told me.

https://www.searchenginejournal.com/google-recommends-no-longer-using-link-operator/183532/

I am guessing this will be good news for ahrefs and Majestic?

Yeah this just makes it official.

Lately they have been a bit crap, since last couple updates. Missing more and more links that ahrefs finds.

Yeah, agreed. Seeing more and more sites blocking the majestic (and other) crawlers. Still using the Topical trust flow a lot for checking relevance of links.

Either way, the link: operator was/is crap :)
