Beautiful car.  Those back seats are amazing.  I guess there is room at the top for another high end luxury electric car.

I'm liking the look fo the Tesla S, thinking of leasing one when i get a few more clients.

I've been in contact with a Canadian scientist called Thane Heins for some years now, he does clever things with electricity generator coils, he found that as you drive an inductor at higher frequencies it starts to behave more like a capacitor - storing energy in the field not just the wire (or skin of the wire).

I managed to replicate his basic experiment (which seems to violate the work/energy principle), where you have a simple electric generator powered by a bench DC PSU and the generator coils are made in the way that he describes.

Unlike a normal generator, which slows down and demands more input current as you apply a greater load, this thing accelerated and required less input current, very surprising to witness in your own hands!

One of the elements of the setup that contributes to that is the rise-time of the inductor, which is finite. It takes a few milliseconds for a generator coil to reach a high percentage of it's magnetic field, which opposes the field of the magnets that induce the current (Lenz's Law), so if you make a high-voltage coil of very many turns, the inductance can be so high (2 or 3 Henries, not mH!) that the rise time of the coil can be beaten by the speed of the generator rotor, so avoiding Lenz's Law.

I don't think it'll be too long until we have infinite-range EVs!
