That's not even with a lithium battery pack; It is about $3,700 over priced.

Agreed. But look at the disruption in the making for the auto industry. These are early starters and the price is in the teens.  I keep harping that e-cars are going to be cheap ...unless they try and support the legacy brand baggage.
