Well, *somebody* owes me a doctorate in Electrical Engineering and a masters in Mechanical Engineering. Maybe throw in a major in Physics, too.

Well, you don't think a PhD comes easy do you? Plus, you know what they say about investing in your education.

Sorta. But the RVs are more for winter escape pods anyway.

>Pinballology

I bought this machine in the early 80s ($300, IIRC). It was probably being retired because it had a pretty simplistic/antiquated feature set as compared to the then whiz-bang new machines  they were installing. No ramps, no fly-overs, not even a highest scores memory. It took me about a week of tuning and cans & cans of contact cleaner to get it running properly back then. All the kids played it fairly regularly in the game room even though though the rise of digital gaming gave it stiff competition for their attention. When we moved to my current home, it went in the garage where it was out-of-sight-out-of-mind and eventually fell into disrepair ....ultra-high humidity is not a friendly environment for the hundreds & hundreds of reed contacts and relays in an old-tech pinball machine.  Anyway, it's been calling me lately. Took 2.5 days (and 2 cans of contact cleaner & the above-mentioned $75 worth of ebaying) to return it to its glory.

Pinball, I'm jealous.  I always wanted a machine.  Good on you for restoring it.

I like it.  My only skill in college was pinball, besides beer research.

Addams Family and Twilight Zone were my two favorites. Also liked Creature from the Black Lagoon and Indiana Jones.
