See post about everybody having diabetes. I think it's a good move.
What few times I search on medical, they rank extremely well. I've also noticed a broadening of their content during the past few years --supplements, for example.

WedMD is one of the few companies I can think of (Amazon.com is another for example) that has at least partially eliminated the need for Google when trying to find something. When I am looking for any info on a disease I usually just go straight to WebMD instead of searching. And if I do search I do so knowing I am going to click on the WebMD result.
They have also (or at least they are close) to becoming a verb. Just like "I just Instagramed that" or "I am going to Facebook that" I have heard people say "Just WebMD it" or something along those lines.

WedMD is one of the few companies...
Examine.com is gunning for that status for nutritional info. And they have a great domain to make into a verb.
