People I sit near have added it to Chrome extensions. One of them thinks he can get $200 per day and he has been paid out a few times.

Wrong... but genius... It occurs to me that charities could try to get their members to let them do this just like SETI did (I think they were the first) and one of the genome projects

Well you can get into Mozilla if you just say.

What about wrapping it up as, "surf ad free, just let us etc etc"

I think most users wont care.
