Was just coming here to post that. I have been following these mattress companies for a while now. Very interesting stuff in regards to properly disclosing relationships, companies trying to bully their way into good reviews, companies trying to control content the reviewers put out, how honest reviews really are, etc.

Purple Mattress also sued a guy claiming the white powder on their mattresses was harmful. Turns out that reviewer used to work at Ghost Bed and still has connections there.

A friend of mine is a director in a bed/mattress factory called Good Knight and a bed shop franchise called Bed'N'Couch here in SA. I helped with their websites for both of the businesses and just from the general online research I did about 18 months ago I got the impression that the industry was like the wild west. The franchising side of things is a little gung-ho

I'll pass this on to him, he'll love it!

Incidentally, I changed my mattress about 6 months ago and picked one out with his help - the difference a good mattress makes to a sound nights sleep is unbelievable as well as silly small twinges and back ache which I used to suffer from often!

Last I looked for a mattress and bought one online (Saatva), my impression was that mattress review affiliates are worse than the typical Clickbank affiliate.

On that portion of my reader that I've assigned to Inoreader, it can dredge up articles that I've happened to notice whizzing by. Handy, sometimes.
