Anybody actually bought one? Drastic? You used to be heavy into home video centers.
I've seen lots of marketing and pr buzz but the consumer response seems tepid at best, sort of like 3D tv.

From what I understand, on a nice set with correct settings, killer content on 4k with hdr is a game changer.

They said the same thing relative to 3D. I think we'll eventually migrate to 4k as it become the new basic standard. Not hot-hot-hot driven consumers like when big flatscreens started getting reasonably priced.
Yeah the 80-85" class around 3-3.5k is the sweet spot I was looking for, but I think they need 1 more year of maturity.
I just went looking at PJs and I see some options in the sub 3k section with 4k/hdr finally (been a while since I looked) so I think I'll grab one of those. Thanks for the thread!
I'm looking but hesitant because of the HDR tech.
I have an Xbox and it's fussy. For it work the panel needs to be 10 bit, but early HDR panels are 8 bit.
Trying to find this info is a pain in the bum.

This is a good stop gap until we move so I don't have to reconfig now for a flat panel, and next year I think they will be a good bit better at size.

We use an actual HT projection screen, silver/gray cloth material snapped onto an aluminum frame.
