TL;DR - keyless entry "keys" are prone to hacking
On a different stand point lots of houses get robbed for the car keys. First place to look now :-)
?? So, they use a booster thing to boost the signal of your car key to start the car. Then, they drive the car away. But won't the car shut down when it gets out of range of the car key and the car "realizes" the key isn't in the car?
Or, do they do this with a tow truck and drive the car onto the back of a tow truck?
The car keeps running, with a message on the dash to say the key is missing.
So if you drive off and the missus has they keys in her back... dont stop the car is what I learned :)
Happened on my bike too. But that has an easy pin number bypass.
