After 5 LOOOONNNNGGGGG years in Florida we are moving back to Spokane, WA. I will still be working for Fanatics but they finally agreed to let me work remotely. It will be good to be closer to my parents (alzheimers, cancer survivor, generally getting old) and have the kids get to spend some time with them.
Looking for a house now and should be moving in a month or so.
Good stuff Joe. It's important to do what feels rigth and makes sense. Good luck.
Great move Joe.
Congrats man, glad you were able to pull that off - I know your tribe are.
Congrats Joe, great news.
Congrats, Joe. ANYWHERE but Jax! ...Or Charlotte. ...Or Durham. Or Atlanta. Or -Fuck it, anyway, Spokane is good. I like WA in general.
I'm glad you get to go back home Joe, it is good to be near family and old friends.

Cherish the time where your folks remember who you are. It's heart-wrenching when it goes away.
Although, you can still spend time with them and enjoy their company in other ways. We would sing "Jingle Bells" and hymns with my Grandmother because that was the last thing to go. Sometimes, we would feed her stuffed bear with a spoon or read her picture books, or, at the end, bring her grain and sit with her and feed the birds.
I have been in Spokane the past week for my parent's 50th Anniversary and also house hunting. The market is crazy here. We had 10 houses picked out to look at before we got here and 9 of them went under contract within 2 days. But we have an offer on one right now that we really like. Hoping to hear if it was accepted very soon now. Will be really nice to have something at least somewhat locked down before I head home tomorrow.
Ruth Ann and I hope your offer is accepted :-)

Good luck man. Market here is crazy too, offers over asking, bidding wars, offers accepted day of listing, etc. Had no idea it was this crazy.
