I didn't know Amz owned IMDB.
Very early acquisition (1998). I remember when suddenly I started seeing a lot of Amazon tie-ins shortly after I discovered it and then realized it had been bought.
What I didn't realize is that it pre-dates the web - it started as a Usenet group in 1990.
I use that all the time.
Might be good idea to rob all the data :-)
