I honestly don't know if this is a good or bad move for them.

I'm hearing that even a lot of non-adult content bloggers on Tumblr want to leave.  There is an actual social community there and they talk.  They just don't know where to go and don't seem to have figured out that they can start their own websites.

Breaking News: Migration has begun.  Most that are leaving are moving to some Discord instance I don't know if it's a new one or an existing one.
