Sadly, it's illegal to shoot them down. Tourists love to fly them around my house.

I'm considering buying a high-power air gun that would make minimal noise and not draw too much attention and using drones for target practice. They're illegal inside the national parks, but they are flown every single day.

Illegal to shoot?

That's mad. I'd be tempted anyway.

At least you could argue it's vegan friendly if you were to get caught :D

I bought one after seeing my daughter's neighbor clandestinely eliminate 20+ squirrels in a suburban neighborhood, just in case I need to do pest control without upsetting the nice, young yuppie family next door.  Very powerful. It'd do the trick.

Quoteit obviously doesn't take much to put an entire airport out of commission. It appears that all you need is a drone with a sufficiently long range to not get caught.

Debbie says you're going to see a lot of 'drone terrorism' over the coming months or years.

Love this question and answer for that gun:

Question: can i use this for deer hunting
Answer: Yes, this device harnesses the most powerful force in existence. It liquidates anything in its path. It can be used to rip apart the fabric of time and space. It can gut material on an atomic level. When the gun is fired the pellet flies so fast that it breaches the light barrier. The oxygen in front of the pellet is condensed so much that it reaches its schwarzchild radius, instantly spawning a black hole. With, almost unlimited density, has a gravitational pull so strong that light cannot escape.
