I am in lust with this monitor. Dell 38" widescreen with a slight curve. 3840x1600 is just about perfect for me at this size. Absolutely beautiful screen that is well calibrated from the factory, the slightest amount of anti glare coating. Only complaints I've read are about weak-ish black level which affects me none.

I've been using one in the home office since August. Just ordered another to upgrade the 34" lil brother to this model at the main office. There's a coupon on the page for another 50 off. I opted for free shipping and they sent it 2day anyway.
Sounds sumptuous.
I'm going the other way. Aside from spreadsheets, I find I use less and less screen.
But I'm trying to get a more portable workflow, so that drives different compromises
3840 x 1600 Resolution, sexy! I'm currently using 1920x1080.

I've been multi-monitor since about 2002 when I had big CRTs on stands that looked like small oil derricks. My last office at home in the old house had 6 monitors. So, this i actually a downgrade from what I'm used to for overall coverage.
Since I'm no longer working production, I don't need all of that space and separate monitors. This is a much cleaner look in the office and currently fits my workload well. feel like I could always use more space (6 wasn't enough) but this works.
They are CHEAP :)
I knew of day traders with screens all over, but six big CRTs is insane. Did you have a year-round tan from the radiation spilling off those guys :-)
You're lucky the DEA didn't raid your house thinking it was a grow-house based on the power draw
Oh I only had 3 CRTs. That setup was a monstrosity enough. The 6 panel setup was all lcd.
That room was a few degrees warm though...
Still using the Samsung 55" 4k. It is the equivalent of 4x27" 1080p without the bezels.
Will downsize to 40-43" 4k for next screen. Hopefully 120hz.
Next up is my sit/stand desk. I prefer this set of legs when they go on sale for $300:

The brand customer service sucks and also one of the sellers sent me a damaged one and no fix. But, they work great and I love to put this butcher block top on the legs:

This desk and the above monitor have greatly improved my office QOL.
I've just swapped out a desktop running four 23" 1920x1080 monitors for two 40" 3840x2160 Samsung TVs powered by a Dell laptop which also has a 4K screen. That would be the equivalent of 12 HD screen if I didn't have to use Windows 10's scaling to comfortably read things. It works, but it's right on the edge of what the hardware's capable of, so can be glitchy.
My favourite hardware is the ice maker on the front of the fridge.
