Expecting the 'slippery slope', I don't use GA. I use two G Minis as speakers in the smarthome integration, but I keep the mic switched off and the speakers have their own, inactive email account. The ten or so Alexa products are used 99% for voice control of lights & appliances, timers, and reminders. I off-loaded the repeat reminder to the smarthome hub using a local-only app written for Hubitat.
I hope to keep the household systems relatively simple and straightforward, but I keep my eye on PI-hole just in case.

Somebody pointed out that Google at least pretended to be all warm and fuzzy while there was still real competition left around.
