One gig I had was to turn spreadsheets into mini conference websites. Basically, the admins put all the conference data in a few worksheets - an overview worksheet and then a one worksheet per day of conference for the session grids. They could then just upload it to the server and it would churn out a mini site with an intro page and the needed sessions grids.
It was me and a designer, so the finished product looked quite nice (as opposed to what it would have looked like had it been just me).
