Also with the Belt and Road initiative, they will probably nail down a lot more rare earth metals.
Many people think that Bolivia will be the Saudi Arabia of the battery-driven economy. Its lithium is in a form a bit harder to process, but those obstacles are being overcome. Fortunately, thanks to the Monroe Doctrine, the US doesn't have to worry about people from other hemispheres horning in on *our* lithium in Bolivia.
