I don't know. If the road material thing is durable and cost effective, it would be better than stuffing it in a landfill or in the ocean. I could see that helping... caveat for the first to "ifs" though
15-20 years ago, I read that Japan was compacting their trash, then encasing it in concrete to make Lego-like blocks to be used in highway retaining walls & bridge abutments. Seemed like a great idea (assuming they can vent the gases) but I can no longer find mention of it.
