I saw this firsthand on a recent trip to Florida. Amazon semis running up & down I-95 and the secondary roads were crawling with small delivery vans.

The final step is increasingly contracted drivers working out of their own cars -- very similar to Uber.

Read a recommendation today for Walmart to buy Fedex to combat AMZ. or Shopify/FedEx merger, again to combat AMZ.

OMG. Thank you! That made me day and got a big laugh from the wife too. Can't believe it took 24 years of Amazon deliveries before i heard that one
