https://www.vox.com/future-perfect/409175/meat-plant-based-blind-taste-test

There was one veggie winner, 60% favored it over meat:

Impossible Foods' unbreaded chicken fillet performed best out of the 122 plant-based meat products, with 32 percent of participants rating it higher than a (real) unbreaded chicken fillet from Perdue Farms, while 28 percent rated them equally.

About 10-15 years ago, we noticed our ultra-techy SIL had the tendency to scan emails & texts, acknowledge them, but consistently failed to answer direct questions in the body of the content.  Otherwise, he was (overly) diligent when responding.  Twas puzzling for a bit, then we guessed he was receiving so many emails/texts due to his job that he had developed a habit of quickly scanning.

We fixed the issue by re-ordering our correspondences; Actionable items first (bulleted or numbered), then the body.  Worked!

Nowadays, a lot of contacts seem to have this tendency.

aka 'Balcony Solar' -backfed plug-in solar is already legal and heavily installed in western EU countries (DE).

Unless quashed by lobbyists, this could be a big deal for the US.

>manufacturing job and be off the farm, but a few years later the worker realizes that the manufacturing job sucked

My paternal uncle (born 1895. mentioned here before as a vehicle whiz kid.) left the large family farm in extremely rural NE NC around 1915 to work in the early Ford plant.  I'm guessing that lasted a few years before he returned home.

> Perhaps the motivation is more psychological?

Or cultural?  The Puritan Work Ethic, for example, still seems to be a strong force of motivation among the underclass and a justification used by the ruling class.

I've lost count of how many times I've heard "I'll work until I die" among laborers, carpenters, hvac techs, etc.

Rec'd April 9:

National Grating has inventory in the USA & Canada and a distribution center near you

Article originally posted 2018 and more relevant now than ever

New tariffs on steel have added 25% to the cost of imported steel products. In an already volatile market, this new cost factor has meant a sharp jump in prices for many steel products and has thrown supply chains into disarray.

Fiberglass Reinforced Panels offers a superior alternative with lower long-term maintenance costs. It is also incredibly easy to work with. With National Grating's technical support and nationwide distribution network, we have the technical information to help specify the product you need.

> Why not a circle

My best guess is that it is aligned so that the walls get the least direct sunlight.

Also a guess - straight/rectangular construction is the cheapest.
