I'm surprised the Porsche Carerra GT wasn't on the widowmaker list. Took Paul Walker, almost took Jay Leno.

>SC does not require an annual vehicle inspection

TX removed physical inspections in 2025, but kept the fee to be paid at annual registration.

Mad Max Thunderdome is exactly how I describe driving here. Also, Nissan Altima drivers always have the right of way.

Very cool!

of course

Slightly off-topic, but some of the bird feeders with built-in webcams are neat.

I had a similar conversation with a Youtuber friend recently. Spotify is promoting their own AI music (skip the artist/creator royalties). I told him Youtube and the other social media platforms won't be far behind.

Creators with the closest/most trusted relationships with their viewers will last the longest, IMO.

Water Cooler / The Doordash problem
December 17, 2025, 09:14:51 PM
The DoorDash problem was coined by Nilay Patel of the Decoder podcast. He's been asking AI and tech executives about it. They mostly dodge or respond in very vague terms.

The DoorDash problem: Instead of opening the DoorDash app, scrolling through restaurants, seeing ads, and choosing a sandwich, you simply tell an AI agent "Get me a chicken sandwich." Or similarly, "Order me socks."

AI companies are working to remove user interaction with apps like DoorDash and Amazon. Doordash is set to lose user relationships, eyeballs on ads, loyalty programs, etc...

Why would they possibly allow that?

Now we have part of the answer. Amazon is suing to prevent Perplexity from shopping on Amazon.com.

Interesting. I don't have the AI window in FF yet

It's always fun to see these kind of progress videos. Still much work to do.

I was really hoping HBO would survive as a separate entity. Netflix is going to own everything. I expect it'll soon cost as much as basic cable.

Masterful!

It still seems like a better product for injury rehab or seniors.

Update: AMZN stock up 10% after hours following quarterly earnings report.

Oof RC. Glad it's been mild. I'm sure it's been a rather concerning week.
