Thanks for the joke highlights.  That was good.  He's quite witty.  I've been meaning to listen to his full speech.

Crazy how much we are getting close to a terminator scenario on 2026.

And now we have the Epstein situation with basically zero justice within the USA.  Apparently, laws are for the 99% in this country.

Yes she did, and there were people back then that also did far worse than her but got completely away with it.  I think she was prosecuted because she was a high profile woman who wasn't very politically powerful.

The Brave adblock is is excellent imo.  I am using it as a YouTube app on my phone and it makes the experience much nicer.

No, Rpi is arm architecture and my project is x86.  The rpiOS is pretty good and hard to beat though.  They do some tricks to make Linux run better on that platform.  It is really pretty good stuff. My one gripe is that they try to idiot proof it and in doing so one has to work a little harder to customize it.

This with an HDMI and keyboard would be really nice.  It's so portable,  but could still be used as a desktop.

One thing I would be worried about is heat though.

I honestly don't understand why Tesla isn't $50/share, or less.  They have lost in their edge in the EV market, dropped a few models, the robo-taxi program is stubbornly hanging on to camera only tech and the cybertruck is generally regarded as garbage.

It has a P/E Ratio of 372 while also having declining sales for two years in a row.  How does that make any sense?

I suspect all the major AI streams will eventually enshitify as they struggle to profit.  Why would it be any different than everything else on the net?

I've been pondering the strength and meaning of SEO on 2026.  I remember Brett claiming SEO was dead in the early 2000's.  I don't think it is "dead" on 2026, but it is certainly diminished and much less dominant in an internet marketing strategy today.  Odds are much of those headlines are already written by AI before Google throws their SERP hack into the mix.

This heat done is honestly freaking people out. It has been 30+ degrees warmer than usual here.  I am thankful for being on the relatively mild climate near the coast, but it still reached 94 degrees this week.

>A U.S. 'debt spiral' could start soon as the interest rate on government borrowing is poised to exceed economic growth, budget watchdog says

I guess we really shouldn't have let someone who bankrupted three casino become president.

Apparently, someone was using this forum to do mass IP lookup.  I updated the software and version of PHP to the latest and disabled host lookup.

>Yahoo is 3rd as a search destination

That's a bit of a surprise, but I guess it makes sense.  There are a lot of people who started using Yahoo decades ago and probably never stopped.  I still use their email.  I just visited the home page for the first time in a long time and I have to say it is relatively clean and simple for 2026.

You all remember the movie Cujo?
