I honestly don't understand why Tesla isn't $50/share, or less.  They have lost in their edge in the EV market, dropped a few models, the robo-taxi program is stubbornly hanging on to camera only tech and the cybertruck is generally regarded as garbage.

It has a P/E Ratio of 372 while also having declining sales for two years in a row.  How does that make any sense?

I suspect all the major AI streams will eventually enshitify as they struggle to profit.  Why would it be any different than everything else on the net?

I've been pondering the strength and meaning of SEO on 2026.  I remember Brett claiming SEO was dead in the early 2000's.  I don't think it is "dead" on 2026, but it is certainly diminished and much less dominant in an internet marketing strategy today.  Odds are much of those headlines are already written by AI before Google throws their SERP hack into the mix.

This heat done is honestly freaking people out. It has been 30+ degrees warmer than usual here.  I am thankful for being on the relatively mild climate near the coast, but it still reached 94 degrees this week.

That's a bit of a surprise, but I guess it makes sense.  There are a lot of people who started using Yahoo decades ago and probably never stopped.  I still use their email.  I just visited the home page for the first time in a long time and I have to say it is relatively clean and simple for 2026.

I cough something in the beginning of January, was lightly sick for about six days, then I got what felt for the flu for four days where I was really tired, had a fever, and the chills.  It got better and sort of reverted to acting like a cold again.  After that the cough settled in along with what felt like a cold again -- that lasted for another three weeks. 

I am finding it hard to wrap my head around what's happening with AI, it is simultaneously projected to devastate employment and collapse in a enormous bubble that will take down the economy.

I suppose it is a bit like the dot-com bust of the early century.  There was an initial over-hype and expectation, but now there is no denying that the internet has fundamentally transformed the way commerce works globally.  Everyone knew it would harbor massive change, but no one knew exactly how it would shake out and the money flowed to what were often dead ends.

This really reads like the opening of a science fiction piece.

Sounds like Gemini was jumping in ad out of role playing.  The safeguards would get triggered and then it would revert back to the fantasy.  The transcript of it all would be really interesting and probably quite disturbing knowing the outcome.

IMO, the power of these platforms need to be taken seriously and we shouldn't pretend that they aren't massive tools of persuasion that are being taken advantage of by their owners.  X is basically the perfect example of this.
