I recommend pushups to failure and some stretching.  Usually does the trick for me.

>Travoli witnessed the whole thing at Irvine
Hah! Irvine was great.  Still can't believe my boss approved a corporate-sponsored trip to "Pubcon" in California.  Then again, he resigned shortly thereafter to work for the yellowpages.  Heh!

I'm most enjoying the specific posts: the reviews of content providers, cheap labor, software, etc... because I am just getting back online.  I also enjoy shooting the breeze about future-oriented macro issues.

Shop?  On occasion.  Purchase?  Only a song or two from iTunes.  Never retail.  I always wait until I get home to the desktop.

Yeah there has to be some natural incentive to make the extra effort of visiting their YP site.  Deals was the only thing that came to mind.

I'm seeing a huge yellowpages.com TV ad push here.  I visited the site.  Nothing to see here, move along.  To make their site relevant, they should be doing everything possible to purchase groupon.

Wow, that is fantastic.

I was still in High School, bought a 9600bps modem and paid for AOL by the hour.  And nobody could use the phone while I was online.  Ha!

"These days your fingers are likely walking on iPad touchscreens, not dead tree pages. After a decade of obsolescence, the local phone directory is finally getting the chop as states wise up to reality. "

IIRC, your prediction was correct to the year, RC.

I could see a line of those in some trendy NYC tapas bar.  Plug in your phone, share some pictures while you have a round.  Spill something on your hipster T-shirt.   :D

>Never ever make the mistake of thinking YOU are any part of anyone's target audience.

Great point and it has taken me forever to figure that out also.

>I heard about a few people doing some really clever, and also very shady things using AMT.  I'll share over a beer at the next meet up

Thanks for the writeup AG, and yes I'd be happy to buy a round and hear those rumors.

Awwh, it's fun to visit.

>Iceland
Pretty sure if we meet anywhere outside the USA it's going to be pricey for the foreseeable future.

agerhart,

Were there some tasks which were better completed than others?  IE:  They were great for job A but terrible for task B?

Docs' offices here have been using those (or similar) for a few years.  No paperwork, its all on the tablet.

I also have an old iPhone 3G.  Steve Jobs definitely gimped the old phone performance with the 4.Xios.  Mostly intentional, I believe.  I've been waiting to see what Verizon comes out with, and if ATT reacts with lower plan rates.  Trying to hold out, but I admit to having gone to see if the new phones are in stock.  Thus far, they haven't been.
