Thanks for posting.  A bit of somewhat good news in the round of bad.  Even if the goals were quite low.

I found this interesting:

While almost all EU countries managed to reduce their emissions, the drop was mainly due to the UK and Germany, which accounted for 47% of the total net reductions over the past 30 years, the EEA remarked.

With the UK leaving the EU in 2020 and emissions rising again after the coronavirus pandemic, the figures may not look so rosy in future reports.

I wonder where they end up after the 2021-2022 rebound and whatever changes are invoked by the Ukraine war (like does Poland start burning more coal?)

34% reduction means former emission times .66
18% increase on that in 2021, so 2022 is 1.18x 2020.

100 * .66 * 1.18 = 79%.

That suggests that if there is more rebound in 2022, they may miss the 2020 target.

Sorry... I was hoping that could come out better when I did the math.
