Just had a conversation about switching our sites to version 8 this morning.

Bet Wordpress and popular CMS' skew things a bit (guessing their methodology is just looking at http headers and whatnot). PHP is my go to language for knocking stuff up together, feels like it's just a coincidence of my generation, Perl before it etc.

Could grab some other statistics and I reckon it'd show stronger leanings towards Node, Go and the like.

Flavour of the month, maybe just flavour of the half/decade or so. They all do the same things.

FWIW working in a search engine, there's so many more websites dependent on JS nowadays. Guess they're just used to G and it being mega popular that the more technical SEO stuff on that front doesn't matter so much. Seen plenty half MB source codes of websites where you can't even see the title yet.
