Relative popularity of programming languages on Hacker News

Did I miss the time frame? Did he query the entire DB?


I ask because I would guess that established languages have millions of pages explaining the most common problems, so even if there is a ton of interest, there might be very few posts.

I think this was part of the problem on WMW. We answered the easy, forum-friendly PHP questions and then discussion started to die not because interest in PHP declined but because we had a good catalog of the easy questions
