The letter to humans make me think that the Amish are fundamentally right.

People often think the are anti-technology, but that isn't true. All humans use technology, whether stone tools or the latest AI. Amish just believe that the primary questions are not about whether it makes something cheaper, faster, easier, but whether a given technology improves or at least does not impede one's relationships with God and community.

The attitude is cautious not hostile.
