Anyone can create a "Business Profile" with Google, which uses this crowdsourced information to populate Maps with the details of businesses' locations, contact details and opening hours.

Ah.  That's a good heads up. Even though technically G says you cannot list a vacation rental as a business, you can list a vacation rental management company, which I have done. It has generated a lot of calls to sell insurance or payroll services, but also some calls for last-minute bookings. So I kept it as the hassle was worth the couple thousand dollars a year.

The useful calls have mostly dried up and it has occurred to me to shut it down. This aspect had not occurred to me. I'll have to look at see what info it is displaying.
