Chinese ‘gait recognition’ tech IDs people by how they walk

Makes perfect sense.  A mother's gait is deeply imprinted on her child.  My mom wore high heels (so she could say she was 5'-2") and I could pick up on her footsteps at a distance.

One thing I learned from Covid is that people are still very recognizable while covering their faces with masks.  There are a lot of data points we (humans) use to ID people on a subconscious level.  If we pump enough of those into a good algorithm it should be fairly simple to do the same thing.

OK, I've been waiting 17 years to post this in a relevant thread;

A woman's history of vaginal orgasm is discernible from her walk - PubMed

I am questioning the science on this one.  For one thing it is a minority of women who can have a vaginal orgasm (~18%).

These are also women who say they've had one, which isn't the same as having one.  It could be a more reserve woman would be less willing to talk about it to a clinician.  It also could be that a woman who projects a "gait that comprises fluidity, energy, sensuality, freedom, and absence of both flaccid and locked muscles" would be more willing to claim having one whether true or not.

A friend independently was friends with me, my brother and my cousin. We all look quite different from each other, but we all had a reason to stop by his office in the early 1980s and his office was in a long long corridor with lighting such that you could just see silhouettes. He said that he couldn't tell who it was, but he knew from the gait that it was one of the three of us.
